Amazon already requires commercial liability insurance (at least $1 million per occurrence and in total) for sellers whose Amazon.com sales go over $10,000 in any month. Amazon's announcement says two changes start November 2, 2026. First, sellers with products in categories that have enhanced safety listing requirements need that coverage for those products regardless of the $10,000 threshold, for new and existing listings. Second, sellers based in Mainland China must get new policies through Amazon's Insurance Accelerator program. Check Amazon's own pages for which rules apply to your products.
