Key dates

Plain-English summary

Microsoft's support and release-health pages list October 13, 2026 as the date updates ended for Office 2021 and for Windows 11 version 24H2 Home and Pro. That date has passed. After that date, Microsoft says it no longer provides technical support, bug fixes or security fixes for those versions. The apps may keep working. Enterprise and Education editions of 24H2 have a later date (Oct 12, 2027), and Microsoft says unmanaged Home/Pro PCs are offered the 25H2 update automatically. Microsoft's lifecycle product pages show a time stamp of 10/14/2026 6:59:59 AM; the support pages say Oct 13, so we use Oct 13.

I run a small business. Microsoft's support pages said updates ended on October 13, 2026 for Office 2021 and for Windows 11 version 24H2 Home and Pro. That date has passed. Please help me check where we stand:
1. Make a checklist table of every computer we use (name, who uses it, Windows version, Office version).
2. Tell me where to find each item. For Windows, it is Settings > System > About. For Office, open any Office app and look under Account.
3. Mark which computers run Windows 11 24H2 Home or Pro, or Office 2021, and which do not.
4. Remind me to read Microsoft's own pages for the current dates and for options, and list the questions to ask my IT person or vendor.
5. Set up a reminder to review this checklist one week from now.
Do not buy or install anything and do not change settings. Do not ask me for passwords or license keys, and do not log in to any account. Only list what I should check and I will decide.
When you state any deadline or date, quote the exact line from the official source that states it. If you cannot find that line, say "no deadline line found" instead of guessing.
