Plain-English summary

Amazon already requires commercial liability insurance (at least $1 million per occurrence and in total) for sellers whose Amazon.com sales go over $10,000 in any month. Amazon's announcement says two changes start November 2, 2026. First, sellers with products in categories that have enhanced safety listing requirements need that coverage for those products regardless of the $10,000 threshold, for new and existing listings. Amazon names children's products, cosmetic and ingestible products, and lithium battery products, and says the list is not limited to those. Second, sellers based in Mainland China must get new policies through Amazon's Insurance Accelerator program. Check Amazon's own pages for which rules apply to your products.

I sell products online. Amazon's announcement says that from November 2, 2026, sellers with products in categories with enhanced safety listing requirements (such as children's, cosmetic and ingestible, and lithium battery products) need commercial liability insurance with at least a $1 million limit regardless of sales volume. Please help me track this:
1. Make a checklist: does my product category fall under the requirement (I will check Amazon's own policy page)? Do I have a current policy? What is its limit, its dates and who is named on it? Who is my insurance contact?
2. List questions to ask an insurance agent, e.g. what documents Amazon asks for and how long it takes.
3. Remind me to read Amazon's own help pages for the exact rules and dates.
4. Set a reminder schedule: two weeks before, one week before, and three days before November 2.
Do not buy anything or submit anything. Only list what I should check and I will decide. Do not ask me for passwords and do not log in to any account.
When you state any deadline or date, quote the exact line from the vendors' own help pages that states it. If you cannot find that line, say "no deadline line found" instead of guessing.
